The Pipe Line begins at the dam at the Southeastern end of Echo lake. The pipe contours the mountains overlooking the Tahoe Basin.
The pipe empties into a small stream which continues to the North boundary of Berkeley Echo Lake Camp.
A tunnel then carries the water under the camp to the Southwest.
