Western Tanager

The Piranga Ludoviciana, lives right in the treetops of Echo Lake Camp and other western mountains during the summer.

Piranga is a South American name for bird.

Ludoviciana refers to the vast Louisiana Territory where Lewis and Clark discovered this bird.
