Anderson's Thistle

Cirsium andersonii is also known as Rose Thistle.

Rose Thistle is a member of the Asteraceae or Sunflower Family.

Cirsium comes from the Greek kirsos, meaning 'swollen vein'. Thistles were used as a remedy against swollen veins.
