Coyotes do live near Echo Lake Camp and you can often hear them howling at night.
They are dangerous wild animals, but are usually afraid of adult humans.
Do not feed them or leave food, small pets or babies unattended.
I have always thought that a wild animal never looks so well as
when some obstacle of pronounced durability is between us.
A personal experience has intensified rather than diminished that idea.
