The Pump

• This picture shows the pump with the green intake line, on the left, leading into the filter basket.

• The two pictures above, taken earlier, show a galvanized pipe leading into the filter basket.

• The intake line leads into the small filter basket.

• The photo at the right shows a green-painted PVC pipe leading up and out of the pump and toward the sand filters.

  The red, in-line, check-valve can be closed to stop water from back-flowing from the sand filters to the pump.

• After vacuuming the pool we unscrew and clean out the small filter basket.

  But first we turn off the pump, close the main intake valve, close the red check-valve leading up and out of the pump.
