The Control Lever in Backwash Position

• Backwashing directs the flow of water in a reverse direction through the filters.

  This water is send down a waste pipe.

  Debris is cleaned from the filters and sent down the waste pipe with the water.

• We backwash for several minutes.

  There are small view ports on the filters where you can watch as the water gains clarity.

• After backwashing, return the controls to the normal flow pattern.

• Pressure, as indicated on the guages should return to a setting well below 20 lbs.
